our IM football season started last week. and we got demolished in our first game. much of it was our lack of knowing what's going on, but that's defn improving. by next game we'll be running some crazy plays. some of it was due to the unexpected roughness of those 2nd year med students who think they're the shiznit. on the second play of the game some big 6+ ft tall guy put all his weight behind a block against me while i was sprinting. it was totally unexpected. i flew back and yelped and gave him an evil eye. flag football! non-contact. it's not that i mind the contact...just unexpected. but now i know =) anyway, one of our players' wife came to watch, and we were all ranting about the other team's roughness. when my turn came up. all that came out of my mouth was "like... ugh! rough! like...! big!" for a good 20sec. she gave a sympathetic look. couldn't tell if it was b/c i couldn't speak or b/c she felt bad that some big guy knocked me around.
