home sweet home

finally reached home. nancy commented about how i was living out of a suitcase for the last week, but after thinking about it, i was really living out of suitcase for more than 2 weeks. and i'm still living out of a suitcase at home.

i go through periods of motivation and laziness. it's probably correlated with how burnt out i am with things i am obligated to do. like studying. but these days, i'm psyched and ready to tackle my three weeks left of freedom. i have a big long list of things to do. trying new things, reacquainting myself with the old. spending time with family. i came home to a new member! baby daniel. he's cute. small and fragile with a thick mat of hair on top. looking into his eyes, i wonder what he's thinking. how he's comprehending all his surroundings. how he can hear/feel his mother's heart beat and be comforted. how everything that's done for him and around him is shaping his life. a baby is such a big responsibility to take on. i'm beginning to see what my parents feel about my sister and me, i think. being completely invested in someone pulls all sorts of crazy protective actions and emotions out. i hope i'll be able to watch daniel grow up.

i was welcomed home by etong. and a broken laptop. my sister missed me so much she made all her stuffed animals sit and watch me as i fiddled w/ my computer. and all i could do was smile. i missed etong's quirkiness.

while looking through my sister's stuff, i found her laundry bag. immediately, i fell in love. the bold red color, the sturdy canvas material with a small mesh window for breathability. there was even a top that could zipper the bag closed and a nice strong strap. without question, i jumped in. if only i had a smaller ass, i would have fit in all the way. instead, my head was forced to stick out. before long, etong was dragging me all over the house. what fun we have =)
