nothing tops a warmed bum

aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh......

sitting on my grandparents' toilet is the most pleasurable thing in the world. its warmth emanating from the seat, soothing my bum. i could be there for hours. reading, thinking. i could even bring my laptop, type up some notes, do some crossword puzzles, maybe even watch a movie. it's even better than the seat warmers in the cars on a cold snowy day! my grandparents recently renovated their house, completely redid their bathroom and kitchen. The best part, of course, is the toilet. it's the most high tech toilet i've seen. its features include a seat warmer, all kinds of bidet functions with different spurt options and different water temperatures. it even flushes!!!! unfortunately, i did not get to try the bidet features as people kept interrupting me from my toilet experiences. what do people do with the wet butts? hmm... i didn't check for a butt dryer, but perhaps it blows out warmed air too. anyway, my grandparents built the closet into the bathroom and people always seemed to need to get in there. which is weird. who does that??

i must also agree with laura and her strawberry eating experiences. those california strawberries are delicious! except the moldy parts, which was rather foul. and there were mini asian pears! and homecooked white wine chicken. and the shiao long bao!!! they built a ding tai fong in LA. its original restaurant is in taipei, and its specialty is super juicy soup and meat filled steamed dumpling type things. oh man, the weekend was awesome.

to top it off, my cousin had a very nice wedding. it was smallish, simple, and happy. they had it in a courtyard filled with flowers and leafy plants. beautiful. the sun decided to come out the day of the wedding, which made it all the better. yay for the first one on our side of the family to get married.
