good times
it's always refreshing to meet up with old friends. it's like sliding back into a notch. keith came to visit last weekend. we ended up going to the city. nyc is not so bad. i think i could live there for a while. everything is there in the city at your fingertips. like MOMA, which featured the sculptor Richard Sierra. neat stuff. he makes sculptures out of huge slabs of metal. people can walk within his sculptures and it's like walking in a big canyon. a maze. humbling. we're just ants living on an ant farm. other things in the moma are a little weird. like the blank canvas entitled "Presence" next to the polished wall paint. i guess i just don't understand some of the stuff.

what's in the hole??
well, everything is in the city except 7-11. apparently there is only 1 in manhattan. and it was 10 blocks away. the slurpy was worth it. we brought a frisbee to play in central park, where we taught a couple boys to throw the disc. yay for the spread of ultimate.
the 24 hr apple store near central park was the next destination. neat design - all glass structure with the actual store underground. i suppose the 24 hr aspect is good if you ever have computer problems. you'll always have a place to take your computer no matter what time of day. or if you have a craving to buy an ipod.... speaking of ipods, i hear they're releasing a new version this week. touch screen ipod? who knows...
then it was time for dinner! korean fried chicken! i read about it last february in the nytimes and have been craving it since. crispy with delicious sauce. it was expensive for fried chicken. but you don't get the same crisp elsewhere. thanks to keith for going along with my search for fried chicken.

Sunday was ali and nurit's wedding. i made the drive out to western mass where they had their wedding on a nice little farm. it was the perfect place. beautiful hills in the background, and they had their ceremony outside at this great pine tree growing out of a rock. very majestic looking. they both looked great with ali wearing an orange dress and nurit in red. unfortunately, i wasn't good with the picture taking, and only really got a picture of the awesome balloon sculpture of them riding a bike. yay for ali and nurit! they had a traditional jewish wedding with fun jewish celebration dances too. it was awesome to see brutes again too. i miss hanging out with the crew.
