no trash day!

i just realized that i don't have trash day any more =(

in other news, i saw a cop on a segue yesterday. too bad i didn't have my camera ready. can you imagine the cop pursuing a badguy on a segue? maybe they beefed up their segues.

i got my eyes checked the other day, and while at the place, i saw an ad for Nike's maxsight contacts. these are tinted contacts designed for sports. one of them is tinted greenish grey to prevent glare (for slow sports like golf or running) and the other is tinted amber color to increase the contrast of the ball against the grass (maybe shuangy should try this). i thought the amber one might be useful in ultimate. it's supposed to help you see fast moving balls (for football, baseball, tennis, etc). so i ordered a trial pair. i'll have to play some ultimate at some point to test them out. if nothing else, it will make you look scarier.

no good ice cream places around here so far. perhaps i just need to ask the right people. still, a bit disappointing.
