they have kozy shack pudding at the grocery stores here. only flan was left though. people seem to like it too much. i'll check for the real deal next time.
rebecca introduced me to some neat running trails in the area. dirt path, with lots of trees! which means no sun and a more interesting run. reminds me of middle school before they bulldozed all the trees to put up a powerline. boo.
played football pickup w/ some guys from our program. it was super unorganized. and i realized that playing ultimate with strategy made me lose my interest for any pickup game. how are we supposed to complete any passes when everyone is running to the same area! bah. slightly frustrated. i guess this only goes for sports that i have some field sense for. i also noticed that having sports skills increases my respect for someone. this guy who i've been hanging out with throws beautiful spirals, and made me like him more. and i also met the first truly annoying person from the program. he came out to play football, but wouldn't listen to the rules that we were making up, and then he would ask all these questions that were answered two seconds earlier. he's a talker. and wouldn't stop. and he was out of shape so he kept pushing for a break.
my toilet in the apt seems to have a brain. or some sensing mechanism for when i need a little flush or a big flush. somehow it knows. or maybe somehow i'm just getting lucky.
family came up this weekend including my doggie, lexie! it was good seeing them. lexie started barking at 2:30 in the morning. i think she heard my roommate. anyway, doggie wasn't too happy about being shut in my room so i took her to the parking garage to walk around. she peed in the middle of the road, and i don't think it's gonna dry up any time soon... not much air circulation. i hope no one steps in it.
this weekend's fun also included snakes on a plane. surprisingly entertaining. they fully embraced the terrible movie that it is. lots of cringing when snakes did terribly painful and gross things. and it was great to see it with a rowdy opening night crowd.
i think that's all.

Although I haven't played pickup football in a while, I've found playing ultimate has affected the way I see football on TV, too. Among other things, I no longer get pissed at a receiver for failing to catch a ball that comes in directly over his head.
it always amazed me how the receivers caught the long throws from the qbs. it seems that they are normally thrown over the receivers' heads. perhaps it is more amazing for the qbs to throw those having to judge speed, the D, and wind type stuff (which is probably less relevant).
