the past week

life as a gimp has been interesting. i feel like mother right arm has been taking care of the whole body. doing a decent job. (except the armpits. i couldn't reach the right one and i couldn't lift my left arm high enough to get to my left one. it's better now.) the first couple days were tough. sitting still was the only pain free way to go. but my bone grew its callus and the fracture is probably all cartilage now ready for ossification. and i can move around pretty well. the worst was getting my shirt on and off. and sleeping. sleeping still sucks. it's the only time when my shoulder is pulled back stretching the fracture. sigh. and i desperately want to sleep on my side. that's all i think about as i'm going to sleep. i can't wait to get back in my fetal position. i can go sling free for a while now, but muscles get fatigued pretty quickly. i hope i get my full range of motion back. doctor's appt on monday, so we'll see. my parents came to visit me last weekend and brought my doggy too! i was happy to see them. =)

i pretty much stayed at home this whole week. we didn't have many classes because of tests and it was surprisingly tiring to be out and about. i did make it to our flag football championship game. which we lost =( damn refs. they kept calling silly penalties on us and not on the other team. we probably lost at least a touchdown worth of yardage due to it. the main ref was even a fellow student in our program. sigh. and i wanted to play. sucky doo. so yea, we lost by 1 pt. people played decently though and afterwards, all the girls seemed to have war wounds to compare... rough game. then the all guys team lost in their finals round too. oh well. but i'm happy that i played this season. it was a fun and there's nothing like team bonding.

the team celebrated last night. we had dinner and drinks. i was introduced to flip cup and the girls' team killed the guys' team many many times. just like mit beating brown many many times that one year. a bit after playing i went straight from being sober to having a hang over. so i left the party early. oh well. there was a dog at the party. cute doggy. there was also wet orange paint. which left the dog coated in orange. i found it amusing =)
