weekend in boston.

other than regionals, i accomplished a bunch of other fun things in boston, such as returning to toscis to study, eat ice cream, and meet up with friends. i miss this view.



doris, keith, daphne, and jenkim all came to toscis. hooray! but no one seemed that excited about ice cream. i suppose it was around brunch time, and people just weren't ready for ice cream. i enjoyed it.



after ice cream, jenkim and i went out for lunch in davis and met twoo and jess from amherst randomly on mass ave. that was a nice surprise. yay for not going to work! ended up spending the rest of the afternoon w/ jen at diesel studying. afterwards, went back to mit and walked to chinatown. the moon was huge. and the view was nice.



in chinatown, william and i had dinner at taiwan cafe and then saw fearless, the jetli movie. i wasn't too impressed with the movie, but the fighting was good. supposedly, it's jetli's last hardcore martial arts movie. he's getting old.

i stayed at daphne's for the night (thanks!) and headed out to regionals w/ her and keith and brian. =) i think everyone fell asleep in the car. ultimate all day long after that. the 4 of us killed 2 loaves of bread during the day. mmmm...tasty

saturday night, i stayed with brute squad at betsy's grandfather's place near devens. the place was huge and nice. there was a pingpong table, and i lost to ali and karen. sad. i'm not very good at adjusting. sigh. shuang and i rocked at doubles though! in the morning, we woke up to this view behind the house. i think i'd like to live somewhere like this eventually.



then off to the fields. i love being the first ones there.



and check out the frost on the chair. pretty neat.



eventually the frost melted and warmth flooded devens. so warm in fact that my head started hurting. can't escape the heat. after the tourney, a bunch of us went out to dinner at montien before nancy took me to the airport. thanks for a great weekend! =)

i was beat by the time i got to the airport. and then my plane was delayed. hooray. all i wanted to do was sleep. sigh. at bwi, matt picked me up from the airport and wanted to try a new way home. we toured all of dc. saw all the monuments and even the sketchy parts of town. needless to say, it wasn't the shortest way home. but the ride was nice.
