so much to write about...
dave and buster's is amazing. games and games and games. i could spend hours in there just playing the star wars racer game. so much fun. the psuedo dance dance revolution game was cool too. they had britney spears songs and back street boys songs. no boom boom boom though. =( they also had this really really cool boxing game...some virtual game where you get to punch at the other boxers. it's tiring though. i couldn't exactly figure out how to dodge all the punches either so i got knocked out a lot. the 2nd guy i had to fight kept doing this little fake punch w/ one hand, and i'd bite, and he'd punch w/ the other hand, right where i was moving to. you burn some serious calories playing that game. i wanna go back before i leave. my mom will have to take me though, as sad as that sounds. don't know anyone over 25 who could be my chaperone (someone who's free b/w 4:30 and 7). there were some games that gave out tickets like chunk n cheese. one of the prizes that you could get was this cool spiderman doll. some ppl helped pitched in tickets and got me the spiderman! woohoo! i've been carrying it around for the past 3/4 days. he came with me to ny...
anyway, thurs was my last day at work, and i spent it trying to pack everything i needed for continuing my project at school and burning files on cds. it took longer than i anticiapated, so by the time i came back from lunch, i had to leave and didn't have a chance to say thanks and goodbye to my advisor. i felt pretty bad about this b/c he's goin out of town this week and won't be back till friday...i think. so i don't even know if i will see him. argh. stupid me. he helped me tons this summer, and he's the first college professor that i've been able to talk to comfortably. yay! my first mentor type.
after driving home from work early, my mom and i departed pittsburgh for new york to pick up my sister from camp. i took the first shift. the good shift. drove 4 hrs and discovered cruise control. at first it was scary using it... a lot less control over the speed of your car, duh, but it worked out well. i was less sore from driving. we stayed over at my mom's friend's house on long island. a really big house. if i get rich, i'd like a house like that. i'd also like to invent something that deletes all traffic from the roads. i hate traffic w/ a passion. i will never live in new york city. spiderman helped me get through the traffic. the next day, the family took my mom and i out to this good japanese restaurant. mmmmmmm..... i haven't had japanese in a while. besides the gifts that kat, van, katie gave me. after japanese, we went to get my sister. then stopped in flushing to buy $100 worth of good chinese food, then headed home. fun.
more later.
